John is an incredible guitar instructor. He's flexible, patient, and thorough. He is adept at teaching all styles of music. From beginners to accomplished players, John can improve your skills and make you better. In addition, John teaches players of all ages. He makes lessons enjoyable and fun.

Our daughter has been taking lessons from John for quite some time now - almost two years. He's done a fantastic job coaching her from knowing little about how to play to now reading music, writing and playing her own songs. He's professional, extremely talented, patient, and a great instructor. Our daughter looks forward to her lessons every week. We'd highly recommend John.

John truly makes guitar lessons fun! I always look forward to them! He's been my and my 11 year old son's teacher for a little over two years. He has great sense of humor, he's patient, very professional, and he's become our friend. He's a great music teacher. He knows his stuff and makes sure you are playing music you enjoy. He teaches correct technique. I have carpal tunnel flare ups when doing things with fine motor skills but my hands and fingers never get numb when playing the guitar. I attribute that to him teaching me the correct way to play. I would and have recommended him to anyone interested in playing the guitar.

My Teaching Philosophy

Regardless of your current skill level, you are always a student of the guitar. Since everyone is unique and learns in different ways, lessons are tailored to the exact needs and goals of each student individually. The curriculum will be based upon the student’s skill level, as well as the style of music which you enjoy. Music theory is emphasized and taught through simple and fun application, developing within the student a thorough understanding of how music is created.
